Traditions, Clean Sheets, Hugs

1. My family has traditional dishes we fix with each holiday. Today I was fixing a chip beef log and apricot brandy cake. Both very yummy!! I can't wait for tomorrow's Posole!!

2. I love the feel of getting into bed with fresh clean sheets on.

3. I love hugs, and Jeremy gives the best, but today my Mom was needing a hug and let me tell you...there is nothing like the comfort you feel in the arms of your Mommy!

VSC, Comfort, Clean Room

1. When driving on snowy and icy roads, I find joy in nothing more than the Vehicle Skid Control in my 4 runner!!

2. I think it's wonderful when you get to that point in a relationship when you feel you can just let your true colors show and know the other will still love you. Today I was lazy since we were snowed in, however, Jeremy made it over for dinner. So, I had to take a quick shower and when he showed up my hair was sopping wet and I had no make up on, but I still felt I was beautiful. Maybe it's that all American hotness!! =)

3. I don't know what it is, but since I have been out of school for break and cleaned my room I feel more comfortable to be at my house, and I'm glad about that. Plus, my life has started to feel organized. It's amazing what a little cleaning can do!!

Snow, Disney, Relief

1. It has been snowing since 8 this morning. As I am writing this at midnight it is still snowing and there are over 9 inches of snow on the ground outside. It is as bright as day, beautiful and peaceful.

2. Jimmy got me the Fox and the Hound 2 for Christmas and we watched it tonight. I would highly recommend it if you want a movie that just makes you smile.

3. I thought I had totally screwed up at work today. I mean here it is my first week and I have made a mess of something that is already a mess, but it turns out I didn't. What a huge relief.

Smiles, Hugs, Fires

1. I find great joy in the smiles on the faces of loved ones greeting those who return from a trip.

2. Jeremy finally got back today from Illinois, and his big hug has never felt so perfect.

3. I love a fire in the fireplace, especially on a cold night.

PP, BoBo, Windows

1. I created a powerpoint a couple of years back from a vacation my family and I took to Alaska. Tonight I found it on my external hard drive with some pictures and watched it. It's a joy to watch something that took you hours to create.

2. For Christmas my parents got me a picture frame with the name BoBo which I can put pictures with for my baby. Although it brought tears to my eyes, they were tears of joy because of what a great boy he was.

3. Isn't it great how working at a desk by a window can just make the day that much better? My desk got moved today, yeah after only one day. But now I am sitting by a window which I think is absolutely wonderful!

Beat ya, New Beginnings, Tractor Tipping

1. It's so nice to wake before my alarm knowing I still have another hour left of zzzzz's!

2. It's nice to start over fresh sometimes. I started my new job today, and it was refreshing to walk in there and be able to start all over again at something I was good at.

3. It gets me every time I watch cars!!

Paint, Pillow, Ripping

1. I was thinking back tonight on what an amazing boyfriend I have. He is....he even became Martha Stewart and did a little painting for my Christmas present. What more could a girl ask for??

2. I had such an amazing time with Jeremy in Illinois, but I was so glad to get back to my own bed...and more importantly my own pillow.

3. I don't know what it is, but ripping paper from Christmas packages really brings a smile to my face in anticipation of what lies beneath it.

Flights, Landing, Luminarias

1. I flew home from Chicago today, and although I don't really like to fly, today was great because it gave me a chance to read a book I have had for a couple of months now.

2. Like I just said I don't like to fly. The reason...motion sickness. I was so happy when I finally landed in Albuquerque and my flying was over.

3. It is a tradition here in New Mexico to put out Luminarias. These are lunch sacks with a candle in them. They are so beautiful when they line the streets!

More Friends, Squirming, Solving Problems

1. So today was meeting more friends of Jeremy's, Kelly and her husband Seth. They are amazing people and it was a lot of fun to enjoy some pizza with them.

2. One thing I really enjoyed about Kelly was her ability to make Jeremy squirm with questions she asked about him and me. It was priceless.

3. Tonight a problem arose with Jeremy's cell phone. Long story short he had to get a new one. It's a relief to be able to solve a problem when it presents itself.

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

Ol Miss, States, Web

1. It was so exciting to see the Mississippi river today. Being a history nerd, it was really exciting because so much history lies with that river.

2. It is my mission in life to visit every state in these United States before I die. Today I added one more....Iowa.

3. Today we went to see Charlotte's Web. The story of that humble pig and the even more humble spider always makes me want to be a better person.

Monday, December 18, 2006

Family, Carmel Popcorn, Elf

1. I have had the privilege, honor and joy of meeting Jeremy's family this week. They are wonderful people and I'm so glad I was finally able to do it.

2. I have also had the privilege of meeting some of Jeremy's family friends. One of the ladies that is friends with his mom, Darla, sent home some wonderful caramel corn with us. It is YUM YUM!!!

3. One of my favorite things to do during Christmas time is watch Christmas movies. Tonight we watched the funny movie, Elf, which I had never seen. Let me tell you, I think it is one of my new favorite Christmas funnies.

Sunday, December 17, 2006

Chicago, Stomping Ground, Monet

1. Since we got in so late, today was the first day I was able to see the city of Chicago. It is amazing!!

2. Driving around seeing all of Jeremy's old stomping ground has put a smile on my face. It is truly great to see where my love came from.

3. Since I took art history, my freshman year of college I have always had a fascination with Monet. Today we got to see some of his works of art at the Chicago Institute of Art. I don't know what it is about haystacks, but I was truly lost in them.

Saturday, December 16, 2006

Packed, Dramamine, New/Old Friends

1. I hate packing for trips. I am always afraid I am going to forget something so I make a really big deal out of it. When it's all done and I zip my bag it is a big sigh of relief.

2. I get motion sickness really bad, so Dramamine is my friend.

3. We got into Chicago and Jeremy's friends, Chris and Erin, picked us up at the airport. It was so much fun sitting up with them talking and telling them about how we met.

It works, One Left, Happy

1. Today, Jeremy was so sweet and went to get me Starbucks while I was working at the conference. It was great because it was so cold in the room I was in. Well I went to reach for it and knocked it over and spilled it all over my computer. I was so relieved when I turned it on and it still worked!!!

2. I went to Walgreen's to buy bags to put the Christmas ornaments I got Jeremy's family in. I didn't think they had any left because I didn't see any. Finally I found them and luckily there was one left of each design. What a joy!!

3. It was date night tonight and Jeremy and I went to see Pursuit of Happyness. It was such a great movie and an amazing story. There was nothing better though, than the joy that little boy, Christopher, had when he was with his dad.

Thursday, December 14, 2006

Dark, Carol of the Bells, Cuddles

1. I had to get up really early this morning and it was tough. But what made up for it was walking outside at 0530 and smelling the dark morning air. It's so peaceful to me!

2. Tonight we went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. OH MY!!!! What an amazing show! I always loved their Carol of the Bells song they do, but it doesn't even compare to hearing it live while watching their laser show.

3. After a loooooong day, there is nothing better than cuddling up next to your honey!!!

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

Shuttle, Ornaments, Laundry

1. Oh, what a joy it was today to see the shuttle arrive to pick me up and drop me off for the last time this year!!!

2. I love Christmas ornaments. It is a tradition in the Porter family to get one new ornament a year. I went today to get Jason and Laura, Jeremy's brother and sister-in-law, one to thank them for letting us stay at their house when we go this next week. It is so nice to share my love for special ornaments with the family of the man I love!!

3. Being so busy with school, I haven't had time to do laundry lately. It is so nice, now, to look in my closet at all of the clean clothes I have to choose from, rather than seeing them in a pile on my floor.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

In the Oven, Kisses, Christmas Shoes

1. I have always loved to cook, and even more, I love to bake. I have been so busy with school this semester I haven't had that chance. Today I was off studying for my two finals tomorrow, so I was able to put dinner in the over. There's nothing that makes me feel more like a woman than cooking for those I love!!

2. Nothing says I love you like kisses!!

3. This song gets me everytime. The love and determination the little boy has to get his mom the perfect shoes before she meets Jesus is just precious to me!!

Monday, December 11, 2006

Baby Oil, Hosts, Socks

1. It's getting that time of year when my skin gets really dry and itchy especially in wool sweaters. Last year, though, I ran across an article about using Baby Oil to cure dry skin. And let me tell you...IT WORKS!!! Not to mention...the smell is like no other!

2. I think that websites that host photo albums to share with your friends are great!! I find it so hard sometimes to e mail people photos; however, these sites are amazing in that you can upload any album and give access to whoever you want, while keeping others private. AMAZING!!! Thanks Picasa!!

3. So I have this thing where I always go to bed with socks on since my feet are always cold. It always happens, though, about an hour after I go to bed I get hot so I kick off my socks. It really made me laugh today when I went to gather my laundry and I had a pile of socks at the corner of my bed from kicking them off. Yes...I am the somewhat slobby side to Jeremy's and My "Odd Couple" status!!

Sunday, December 10, 2006

Trees, Advice, Actions

1. Tonight we went to get our Christmas tree. It is always a fun tradition getting into the truck and heading to Roybal's, the local tree lot. It is so much fun searching around til we find just the right one we all agree on.

2. I was speaking with one of the pastor's wives today about teaching. I always enjoy when people with experience give me advice!!

3. Isn't it amazing how actions speak louder than words?? I find this especially true with Jeremy. It is one thing for him to say he will do something, but it is something amazing when he follows through!!! AND...he always does!! He's great that way!!

Saturday, December 09, 2006

Polish, Dancin' Old Faces

1. What is it about finger nail polish that makes a girl feel beautiful?? I'm not sure, but it really does. And yay for glitter to go with the polish.

2. Jeremy and I were able to shake our groove thing tonight which was soooo much fun since the two of us have never really been to a function where we can dance together. It was good times.

3. Tonight was my new-old companies Christmas party. It was so good to run into old faces and catch up on how everyone is doing!!

Friday, December 08, 2006

Twinkles, Birthdays, Last Days

1. It was so much fun strolling along looking at the twinkle lights at the parade of lights.

2. It was my Aunts Birthday, so we went to eat at the Brazilian grill. We told the server it was her birthday and it was so great when they came out banging a drum and shaking a tambourine to sing her happy birthday.

3. It was so joyous knowing today was the last day of work at the vet. Now it's on to bigger things.

Thursday, December 07, 2006

Countdowns, Potica, Orion

1. Tonight as I was leaving Jeremy's, a countdown of the top country albums was on CMT. I think countdowns are great because you get to hear all of your favorite popular songs without having to wait all day.

2. Every year around Christmas time, my Grandpa, who lived in Colorado, would send us a Potica. We would usually have it on Christmas morning with our hot chocolate while we opened our gifts. He passed away a few years back, so we haven't had one. Tonight I got to have some again. My Mom found the company in Colorado that made them and ordered us some. It's sweet roll taste brought back so many great memories.

3. Jeremy lives away from the city in the mesa on a hill. Tonight when we walked out, the stars were big and bright. Right above my head was my favorite constellation, Orion. I think it's my favorite because it's the one I can always find with the three stars in a row making his belt. But either way...the bright stars made me smile with joy!!

Wednesday, December 06, 2006

Finished, MFEO, Weenies

1. So I went to my last lecture today!!! Wohoo the semester is almost all over now. With the exception of my two term papers and finals, this semester is about to go up in flames. No, seriously, I am burning all remnants of this semester....who knew I was a pyro.

2. The movie Sleepless in Seattle brings me great joy, especially when I can use its great phrases when IMing the one I love!!

3. It's amazing how when you are hungry enough you will eat just about anything, including disgusting processed food like hot dogs. Seriously, I was so hungry when I ate them and they tasted so good because of that, I am craving them again today.

Tuesday, December 05, 2006

Check, It Fits!!, Hittin' It

1. Today I finished my first class of the semester. Wohoo, I have checked one off my list and only 5 to go!!

2. With getting a new job back with the home builder I have been invited to the Christmas party on Saturday. Being that I am a poor college student I am pulling a huge faux pas and wearing a dress I wore a couple of years back. I didn't think it was going to fit since I was in good shape back then, but I was really happy to see that it did!!

3. Well, Jeremy and I have decided it's time to get to the gym again, and honestly it was great to hit it again!!!

Monday, December 04, 2006

Communicationship, That's All Folks, Face-to-Face

1. This wonderful thing Jeremy and I have called communicationship just reminds me of how great our relationship is and how many fights we possibly avoid because of it.

2. Hearing the words "and that will be for another semester." The final words of the last day of lecture in my hardest history class.

3. Jeremy and I usually have to drive separate to our young adult group since I come straight from work. This also means the long drive back to Rio Rancho consists of us talking on the phone since we can't be together in the same car. Tonight we were able to drive in together, it was a great joy to spend that time in person rather than on the bluetooth.

Sunday, December 03, 2006

Time, Arrivals, Crying

1. This morning I had to get up to take care of the dogs, this means I was up and had time to spare instead of being rushed like I usually am. That was just such a great feeling!!

2. Seeing my family arrive safe and sound from an out of town trip.

3. It's good to remind myself from time to time that I REALLY am a girl, and it's okay to cry. I mean it's my party right??

Saturday, December 02, 2006

One Down, Zebras, Welcome

1. It was so great to get one of my papers done for the end of the semester. That means that I have one down and only two more to go!!

2. For lunch today I got to have a Zebra Cake. It has been a really long time since I have had one and it was great to taste that yellow cake with the cream filling again. But I have a tip for the zebra cake people...they need to be individually wrapped. Two is just too many for this girl.

3. So I couldn't hang out at my house tonight and I had to find somewhere to go with the puppies. I am so grateful that I have Jeremy and that I am always welcome at his house.

Friday, December 01, 2006

BS, AT ALL, BBQ

1. So it was purely to get in good with the Prof in hopes of pulling a better grade in the class, but I stayed after class today to BS with my Math Prof. He truly is a strange creature, but I'll get great joy when I pull a passing grade.

2. So KLynn, my coworker, was telling me a story about a guy she met at the gym and how he was a nice guy, but she just wasn't attracted to him...AT ALL. Just the way she said it with the hesitation and emphasis of the "AT ALL" just made me smile the rest of the day!!

3. I don't know if anyone has seen the movie dinner with friends, but I enjoy that...not the movie so much, but I enjoy getting together for dinner with friends.

Thursday, November 30, 2006

Windows, Fish-Tailing, Stories

1. I really enjoy Christmas time and the smile I get on my face when I'm driving at night and see a Christmas tree lit up in the window of a home.

2. This morning it was so much fun driving to work on the snowy roads. I know I'm weird but I got excited when I did a little fish-tailing.

3. Thursday nights usually consist of Starbucks and church with friends. I truly enjoy getting to hear the stories of what is going on in their lives.

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Oz, Snow, Help

1. Dr. Oz was on Oprah today. He is a guy who is just FULL of so much good information.

2. Today was the first snow of the season. I was sooooo ready.

3. I had to talk with one of my political science professors today about my grade in the class. I was so grateful about how he was willing to work with me. It's always promising to have professors like that.

Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Giggles, Weights, Lights

1. Jeremy and I were unable to spend much time together yesterday since I had to get ready for my presentation. It seems as though this made us very giggly when we were able to spend time together tonight. It was a great time and full of sarcastic, loving giggles.

2. I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. This week has proved to be full of weight baring tasks. First I had to turn in my two weeks notice at my current job, next I had a 15 minute presentation on the Rwandan Genocide, and tonight I just finished a 5 page paper for an upper level history class. What a huge weight to be lifted off my shoulders so far this week....and it's only Tuesday!!

3. Driving home from Jeremy's tonight I was in awe of the lights of Albuquerque, what a sight to behold!!

Monday, November 27, 2006

Baseball Cap, Camera Phone, Sunglasses

1. It's always a joyous morning when you can wake up late because you intend on wearing a baseball cap to class...along with sweatpants. I love these mornings.

2. Because I have a camera phone (who doesn't really anymore), I can always flip open my phone to see the one I love.

3. I really enjoy my sunglasses, however I didn't realize how much until I didn't have them today. My 30 minute drive to school faces the sun most of the way, and being so short the sun visor doesn't hide the bright sunlight. Oh how I need to remember to put my sunglasses back in my car!!

Sunday, November 26, 2006

Familiarity, Pine, Tranquil

1. Isn't it great to see familiar sights on TV?? I think it is!! I was watching my TIVO and came across the season premier of the Real World. This season, they are in the wonderful city of Denver. It's one of my favorite places and it was great to see familiar sights I have been to on the TV.

2. Jeremy and I had a date night and while we were driving to dinner, we had to pass the Christmas Tree lot that is in the mall parking lot. It was so spectacular to drive by while my car got filled with the aroma of pine trees.

3. Ever wonder why a room lit by candles is so tranquil and relaxing?? Jeremy and I love to have our cuddle time where we talk about each others day. We used to always have candles lit since it was just too bright with the overhead light on, but since the move we haven't. Tonight we did again and it was just like it used to be!

Saturday, November 25, 2006

Golden Corral, Library, Prancer

1. Yeah, I know, it's totally hick, but my Mom and I really enjoy going to Golden Corral for breakfast on Saturday mornings. We used to do it a whole lot and recently life has just gotten in the way and the two of us have become so busy where we haven't made the time to enjoy that Mother/Daughter time. Today we were able to do it again. It was wonderful...like old times!!

2. I have a presentation this coming Tuesday in my History 491 class. I, the procrastinator, have waited of course until the weekend before to even start the research so today, I was at the Library. For some reason, though, I find comfort in the quiet of the library. It's really strange and I'm not sure why but I just find the library to be safe...I guess it's being around all those books that just makes me feel at home.

3. Every Christmas season we watch as many Christmas movies as we can. Well, tonight it was Prancer. It is an amazing story about a young girl and her strong belief in the unseen. What a joy to have that sort of passion and love.

Friday, November 24, 2006

Fishies, Pearls, GA

1. We went to a really good restaurant here in town called the Falls, and one of the things they had was a giant fish aquarium. It was fun to watch those little guys and see their bright colors.

2. I had always wanted a strand of pearls growing up. Last year for my birthday, my brother, Jimmy, got me some. I love wearing them, and tonight at dinner was no different, I got to wear them. There's something about wearing pearls that just makes me feel I am a beauty.

3. Grey's Anatomy is so great, and I'm excited....I got Jeremy watching it with me!! Wohoo!! We are almost done with Season 1!!

Thursday, November 23, 2006

Thanks, Smell, Traditions

1. It always fun to hear what people are thankful for, especially on this day of Thanksgiving.

2. I love waking up on Thanksgiving morning to the smell of the turkey cooking in the oven. It brings back so many memories.

3. My family has some fun traditions when it comes to the holidays. My favorite is the time we get to spend together, just hanging out, after the dinner. We usually play cards or watch movies, either way it's always fun and the stories that come out of it are priceless.

Wednesday, November 22, 2006

Job, Baking, Love

1. New opportunities.

2. Rediscovering my forgotten passion.

3. Being surrounded by my family.

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

Drive thru Line, Innocence, Dreams

1. You'll have to check out my other blog for an explanation on this one, but I saw the funnies thing in the drive thru line today!!

2. There is nothing like the innocent look of a puppy sleeping to bring a smile to my face.

3. I had a good laugh with my mom today hearing about her crazy weird dream she had the other night. It's fun to hear that I'm not the only one with nutty dreams.

Monday, November 20, 2006

Sleeping in, Butterfinger, Mechanical Love

1. There is nothing like staying up because you know you get to sleep in in the morning.

2. I am a huge fan of butterfinger, so tonight it was great because I got to have a Frosty at Wendy's with BUTTERFINGER in it.

3. So Jeremy and I had a good laugh, or more it was me laughing, and were reminiscing about the night he talked with me about defining our relationship and where it might go. Too cute how he didn't know what to say, so all that came out were mechanics.

Sunday, November 19, 2006

Family, Crossing Fingers, PJ's

1. It was good times with the family watching the game...even though we won't talk about the outcome.

2. Studying last minute for a couple of hours to make up for 2 weeks of missed class....now we'll just wait to see how I did on the test...my fingers are crossed!!

3. I am a huge fan of getting comfy, so it was so funny yesterday when Jeremy made sure I went home and changed into my comfy clothes.

Friday, November 17, 2006

Date Night, Orgasms, TGIF

1. There is nothing like going out, just the two of us, to enjoy a night together. And when Pizza and a movie are involved...even better.

2. Now before you go freaking out on me here, I'm talking about an orgasm of the mind. Often we don't stimulate our brains, so when we do it's an amazing...well...orgasm of the mind!!

3. Since I started working again, there is nothing I look forward to more (well except the time I get to spend with Jeremy) than Friday at 5 o'clock.

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Naps, Everwood, Eyes

1. I am a person who really enjoys a nap...and when I enjoy a nap, I ENJOY a nap. Seriously it's usually 2 hours later that I wake up...that's joy!!

2. One of my favorite shows on T.V. was always Everwood. That took it off the air, however, there are now re-runs on the family channel, it's great!!!

3. I have always found beauty in eyes, especially when they are of the opposite sex. Tonight it was great to lay and look into the eyes of the one I love.

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

Starbucks, Hugs, Chef Boyardee

1. There's nothing like Starbucks to brighten your day when you're feeling blue.

2. Through the tears, a hug always makes things bright.

3. Three words for you...Beef-a-roni...or is that just one?? YUMMM is all I have to say!!

Tuesday, November 14, 2006

Leaves, Speedbumps, Advisors

1. Today it was really windy and the leaves were blowing all around campus. Some would think this annoying...me being one of them, until I passed a little boy on the way to my Historiography class who had found two perfectly shaped leaves and was so excited to show his mom.

2. They allow us to slow down and keep our eye on the road.

3. I went and talked to my advisor today. She seemed to indicate I was on the right track for Grad school, which was a total weight lifted off my shoulders.

Monday, November 13, 2006

Sunshine, Thumb Drive, Winter

1. Being told, by my love, that my words bring sunshine and FLOWERS to his life.

2. Figuring out how to put AIM on a thumb drive so I can talk whenever and where ever I want!!

3. Today it is winter outside...or at least it's starting to feel like winter. There were clouds and a chill that made me excited that winter might finally be on its way!!

Sunday, November 12, 2006

The W, Just in Case, Turkey

1. The Broncos pulling off a come from behind win...even though I didn't get to see it.

2. Being asked where I think furniture might look...just in case!!

3. I love turkey!! Tonight Jimmy fixed a really great dinner for all of us and guess what the main course consisted of?? Yup...TURKEY!!!

Friday, November 10, 2006

Broomball, Family Channel, Mum

1. Even though it was so cold in the arena, colder than I think it had to be, it was so much fun to see the kiddos playing and hearing the stories of their favorite moments in the car ride back to the church.

2. When you're sick, there's nothing like watching the Family Channel all day. I couldn't get enough of 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls and Everwood.

3. I'm such a baby when I'm sick, but is great when my beautiful Mom is there to fix me hot tea and oatmeal.

Tuesday, November 07, 2006

Phantom, Hands, Sunsets

1. Tonight we went to see Phantom of the Opera...it was sooooo amazing!! The special effects and props they had blew my mind.

2. It makes me smile to have the one I love write a little invisible note on my hand and me get what it says!!

3. Tonight the sunset was amazing with the hues of red and orange in the clouds. Spectacular!!

Monday, November 06, 2006

Tim, Cell Phones, Bacon

1. We went and saw Tim Reynolds play and oh my, he is amazing!!

2. Jeremy and I have a long 30 minute drive from the church to my house. It's not so bad when we're together in the same car, but tonight we were in our own cars which can be lonely. But it was so great tonight. It went so quick because we talked on the cell phone all the way home!!

3. I love nothing more than the smell of bacon cooking in the morning. Well, maybe there is something I love more...actually eating that bacon.

Sunday, November 05, 2006

Notes, Habits, Support

1. I felt like a little kid today back in grade school when my mom and I were passing notes during Sunday School this morning. It was good fun and great bonding.

2. The forming of new and renewing of old. I'm not talking about bad habits like biting your nails, I'm talking good habits to better us and our relationship with one another and with God.

3. I'm so happy that Jeremy and I have a great support system for one another. It's really good to have a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to when you have trouble in your heart.

Saturday, November 04, 2006

Sparks, Super Trooper, Openness

1. I got the newest Nicholas Sparks book, Dear John, yesterday. It was such a joy to be able to open it and begin it today.

2. We're getting some things done at my house, wait...Jeremy's house, today and we needed my dads help. He was such a trooper and just kept on going with each project we gave him. I love my daddy and thought he was so great today!!

3. Even though it is a little embarrassing, I'm so glad I'm able to share all that's going on with me, and my body, with Jeremy. I enjoy how open I can be with him about an uncomfortable topic.

Friday, November 03, 2006

Meatloaf, Sunsets, BN

1. I know it's probably a food group all in its own, but I absolutely love meatloaf...and guess what?? That's what we had for dinner!!! YEEAAA!!

2. The wispy pink and blue clouds during a sunset in New Mexico.

3. A trip to Barnes and Noble!! I have this great love for books and for me that's like being a kid in a candy shop!!

Observations, Co-Worker, Reading

1. Jeremy pointed out an observation I couldn't recover from. We were at Church listening to the reading and he informed me the guy speaking looked like Dawson Leery from Dawson's Creek. It was so true, and there was no recovering from it. I giggled about it through the rest of church.

2. I have a really great co-worker. It's a small office and there is just the two of us in there so it's imperative we get along. I'm so glad we do.

3. Lately I have been so tired, I often want to get into bed and just fall sleep. Well, tonight I decided I needed to start reading again. It's something that has always brought me great joy and lately I have neglected needing that, so I decided to read a little and it was great to do that again.

Why I started This Blog

As an extension of my adventures in Katieland, this is a new adventure I'm taking on. After reading through some blogs from friends I came across this idea. I find that so many times we go through life without really stopping to think what is making us happy: what we find joy or pleasure in. So, instead of just going through life without thinking about the activities of my day, I have decided to pinpoint 3 things that have given me pleasure or joy during the day.
