I know it's not a new year, but one of the things I want to make it a point to do this year is keep my thoughts pouring out. No holding back! I have also decided to combine my two blogs into one. 1. I love the chill that is in the air...it sure is fall.
2. Tonight we went to see the Larry the Cable Guy show, he is one funny guy. My gut hurt!
3. It's great to get things worked out, but sometimes it really stinks. It makes me say, "Duh, you were dumb!"
1. You know what starts this week?? Premiers!! I'm so excited for all of the new shows this season!
2. My Mom is going to make the ring bearer's pillow for the wedding. She found a pattern and it's absolutely beautiful!
3. Jeremy was at a retreat this weekend. Although he was only gone 2 days, it was good to have him back home!
1. One of the best parts about all of our planning has been the joy on the faces of the attendants when they are asked to be in our wedding. It's great to see their love and support for us.
2. I don't know about anyone else, but it sure is beginning to feel like fall. The sky is getting darker and the leaves are starting to turn yellow, and I LOVE IT!!! I'm so excited for cooler weather, football every weekend and the great fall holidays.
3. This next week, they are coming....Fall Premiers. I couldn't be more excited for all of the new shows!!
1. Yup, it's true, I'm back. For how long, I'm not too sure, but I thought I would give it a shot again. I miss writing and I hope that what I write will brighten your day as it does mine.
2. My family, Jeremy included, and I have been working hard in the yard this weekend. We have gotten so much done, still have so much to go, but it's looking great.
3. I love to be crafty. I'm looking forward to a fall of crafty-ness!
1. It's great to get issues worked out.
2. I'm looking forward to the food for the wedding. Today we met with our caterer and had a great wedding. I love to hear, 'this is your day and we will do what you want'. WOHOO!!
3. New schedules are hard to get used to. In the end I think things will work out.
1. Today I got to run around Albuquerque with my Mom. She had lots of errands to do for her business and she asked me to join her. It was so much fun! I miss the days when her and I used to do that all of the time!
2. It turns out today I became a Cowboy. No, there wasn't any surgery involved, just a quick trip to the admissions office at Highlands University where I applied and registered for the classes to start my schooling to receive my teaching certificate. This has been on my mind all summer and it's great to finally make a decision and have my schedule in hand. I think I am making a great choice here!
3. Tonight I went to go to bed and turned on my TV as I always do (it's the fear of dark thing....I always turn on my TV for sound and light). So, anyways, I turned on my TV and 'Sex and the City' was on. Not only did I sit and watch that episode, but I put my DVD in and finished that season. I tell ya, there is nothing like 'Sex and the City' to keep me up until the wee hours!
1. Tonight we had our weekly young adult Bible study (CYA). The topic was one that I have been dealing with recently. It was refreshing to hear that others in the group feel unsettledness stems from the same problems I am dealing with.
2. I'm not usually one who likes to cut back, especially with things I know I want. At church on Sunday we heard a sermon about finances and our wants vs. our needs. So with planning the wedding I have had to take a look at what I want vs. what will make the day memorable. So, I cut a few things out of the budget where it is more manageable. I can have the wedding at the most beautiful place while still having the wedding of my dreams.
3. I have started the wedding diet and workout. As a girl who hates to diet this is extremely tough. Today I managed to eat relatively healthy all day. It wasn't that hard. Here's to day two...
1. I finished the first Harry Potter book tonight, it was amazing and I can't wait for all 6 more.
2. Jeremy and I went grocery shopping tonight. It is so much more fun doing it with the one you love rather than all by yourself.
3. My mom, brother and I went through model homes today. We went through 17 total, and can you believe after all of those we didn't find a house we fell in love with?? It was still so much fun to go and look and run into friends you haven't seen in awhile.
1. Today I got LOTS of sleep. I'm not sure why, but I didn't feel rested from the night before. It was great to be able to sleep in.
2. Jeremy and I took my dad to show him the spot where we think the almost perfect wedding will take place. It was a bit of a drive, but I think it was worth it to take a second glance.
3. While looking at the reception site we had dinner. As an appetizer we ordered the BEST guacamole. I don't think I have ever had it taste that great (and no, it's not just because I was starving).
1. Tonight I found out my favorite restaurant would not only be willing, but honored to cater the wedding. I was shocked to hear Steve say he would love to do it, especially when I thought it was a long shot in asking. I truly feel honored that he would do this for Jeremy and me.
2. When planning a wedding and getting shot down, it's great to hear Jeremy say that I am doing a great job in the planning. I want this day to be perfect for him.
3. Anyone watching Age of Love? I have become an addict and am so excited it was on tonight. Too bad it was the season finale.
1. If you have to come back from Colorado, it makes it much easier to come back to rain here in Rio Rancho.
2. The search is still on, the beauty of it all, however, is having 7 more options to check out.
3. I don't get to see them very often, but I absolutely love the time I get to spend with my Dad's side of the family in Colorado.
1. Jeremy and I were really busy today, so cuddle time was the first time we were able to unwind...and kiss. I did kiss him hello, but that was just a hello peck. There is nothing like finishing your day with a kiss from your one and only.
2. I am baking cookies to take with us on our trip to my grandmas cabin. I made dough today for 6 dozen cookies. There is so much dough....it's crazy!!
3. There was a WHOLE lot of helping out going around my whole family today. From me helping my mom, to my dad helping me, to my dad and brother helping both me and my mom. I truly love my family, they are amazing people!!
1. My parents went to a wedding earlier this summer in Phoenix at the Arizona Biltmore. The groom is the son of the owner of the company my dads works for, so my parents were invited. It so happened this wedding was being filmed by the show Platinum Weddings. My parents had a great time and it was so fun to watch the episode tonight that showed the wedding they went to. Although it was a brief shot of both of them as "extras", it's fun to know my parents are now famous.
2. Johnny Rockets was our brunch location of choice today since we went to see the movie 'No Reservations'. I don't care who you are, you always get a great feeling with the atmosphere of that restaurant.
3. As news is spreading at the church about the engagement of Jeremy and me, it's so great to have people continue to congratulate us and share in our joy.
1. Today Jeremy and I went to see the movie 'Licensed to Wed'. I think it is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend it!
2. There was a bit of a wrench thrown in our plans tonight, but it was very much welcomed. Friends of our family, actually my Dr. and his wife, wanted to go out on a date just the two of them. This meant they needed someone to watch their two wonderful kiddos. When Kelly called Jeremy and I, we were happy to help and it was a lot of fun!!
3. Brad and Kelly have the cutest dog, Harley. When we were at their house tonight, Jeremy and I had so much fun watching Harley and her habits. And I think Harley has inspired us to get a lab when we get married and have our own house.
1. To truly understand people, we need to know where they are coming from. When this happens everyone can be happy.
2. Jeremy and I watched an awful movie tonight, 'The Good Shepherd'. All I can say is I was SOOOOO glad when it was over!
3. Today I took a 5 hour nap. Call it stress, call it lack of sleep, call it being lazy. Either way, I feel so refreshed now!
1. I have the most amazing fiance. He notices my day is not turning out as I had hoped and takes off work early to come be with me. I don't know what I would do without him and I am so happy to be his soon-to-be-wife!!
2. I have made progress on the wedding plans. I have gathered price lists for rentals and caterers and set up appointments for food tasting and menu planning. Things are really starting to come together and it's so fun and exciting to do!!
3. Isn't it amazing how a good big sneeze can be so cleansing and refreshing?? I love to sneeze and I do it loud and strong!!
1. Have I ever said how much I love Dawson's Creek? Well I do!! Today I was watching season 3 on DVD, there is nothing like it!!
2. My family is amazing!! I am so thankful to have parents who will take the day off to look at reception places with me and my fiance. The wedding planning means so much more with their involvement (after all, they are paying).
3. Patios are the greatest invention. There is nothing like sitting out on a quiet evening, in the stillness of the patio, talking about your day!!
1. Today there was a bit of an afternoon thunderstorm. I just love the summers when the clouds roll in in the afternoon!
2. It's a great feeling when an event is over that you weren't looking forward to. It was good to make an appearance, but I'm glad that's over!!
3. I have been getting more and more organized for planning the wedding. It has been great and I feel like I'm making real progress.
1. When you just wash your hair and go a la natural 'curly' it's great to hear that the way you fixed it up is cute!! Sure beats the 45 minutes it usually takes me to get ready!
2. I have been without my engagement ring for a week. I took it to get sized and then to get some things worked on on it. I got it back last night and it sure is good to be clothed again!
3. So, Jeremy and I started at the gym again...for the what time is this now?? Anyways, it was good to be back, AGAIN!
1. It is great to hear of the excitement, especially of Jeremy's friends, when they hear we are engaged. This is really encouraging, and makes me feel great because they feel I am the right one for their best friend.
2. Today I found a barn. It is perfect, we just pray it is big enough. Please, God, make it grow!!!
3. Planning can be very overwhelming. Today I went to Barnes and Noble and picked up a great book to help with cutting costs. I'm so excited to read it!
1. Today I was home with a bad headache. I don't know about you, but when I have a headache all I want to do is lay around and listen to the TV. Well, today the cable went out and I had to put on a DVD. I put in the first season of the Gilmore Girls. I now remember why I fell in love with that show.
2. It must have been the days for internet going down because mine did with the cable and then in the afternoon Jeremy's internet went down. This would be an upsetting thing usually cause we couldn't talk on IM, but I was happy because it caused him to leave work early and come see me!
3. Tonight we went to get ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. The guy that helped us was so friendly and helpful, I think he was the best ice cream man I have had. Great service really makes an experience that much better!!
I just wanted to let you all know I am sill alive. Jeremy and I went to Illinois for the week to visit with my future in-laws. Yes, you read that right...future in-laws. Jeremy and I got engaged over the 4th of July, actually the 3rd. I have been dying to tell everyone who reads this, but we had to wait until we told all the 'important' people (or at least attempted) so those we love didn't find out over the internet. Because, you know, you can't always believe what you read over the internet, but in this case you can. We haven't set a date yet but it will be next spring or summer. I will keep everyone posted as we have more information. Until then...my blogging will start back again tomorrow. I have so much to share, I can't wait!!
1. I love the 4th of July because it reminds me to be thankful for the freedom I have here in this great nation under God!
2. Fireworks are so amazing. I just love watching the colors and shapes and wondering, "how did they get it to do that??"
3. The giddy smile...it's still there!!
1. Everything Jeremy does and is makes me SO happy.
2. Because of leaps, I have had a giddy smile on my face. It just doesn't go away.
3. Today is a year since my wonderful Jeremy and I have been together. Tonight we recreated the day when it all came together by going to the Isotopes baseball game. What a WONDERFUL day!!
1. I am not one for secrets. It really bugs me and I always want to know them. Today I was running around town working on a secret project for Jeremy. Secrets are fun!
2. I haven't had time, between school and work, to do what I love...BAKE. Today I was able to. I made some chocolate chip cookies. The dough is chilling in the fridge, I sure hope they're good and I haven't lost my touch.
3. Today was my first official day off work and at home. I can tell you one thing, since I quit I have been so happy. It's amazing what getting out of a stressful environment will do to you.
1. I finished another book. A Thousand Splendid Suns was the great second book from an author that is becoming a favorite, Khaled Hosseini.
2. As much fun as it is to go on vacation, when it's time to come home, it's time to come home. And, boy, is it good to be home!
3. When Mom and I got home tonight we had a home cooked meal waiting for us, made by our resident chief, my brother. It was so good since I was so hungry.
1. Today my Mom and I went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to see an exhibit of the Titanic. They had artifacts they recovered from the bottom of the ocean. It was amazing to see these treasures you only see on TV.
2. For dinner we went to the Cheesecake Factory. It is always a treat when we get to go eat at on of these. Oh so yummy!!
3. Since we returned to the hotel early tonight, I got to read for about 3 hours in my book. It was great to just kick back and get lost in the story!
1. Tonight my Mom and I went to see a concert at Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado. I had never been and think that's the most amazing place in the world to see a concert.
2. The Celtic Women is who we went to see. These women, with their angelic voices, in this setting was breathtaking.
3. The little town right outside of the amphitheater was very quaint and oh so cute. I wouldn't mind living in a small town like that.
1. My mom and I have decided to take a girls road trip to Denver. We are planning on going to a concert at Red Rocks tomorrow and just relaxing the rest of the time. I'm so excited.
2. Isn't it funny how immediately following 9/11 we saw patriotism and "United we Stand" signs everywhere. Since time has passed we don't see it much anymore. Just as we were entering Colorado Springs I saw a faded billboard that read "United we Stand". It was so amazing to see.
3. When I grow up I wanna live in the beautiful city of Colorado Springs.
1. As many of you know, there has been crazy rain and flooding in Texas. What you may not know is that I have an Aunt and Uncle who live in Marble Falls, where there was 19 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. Apparently their town is shut down. It was a great thing to get an e mail update from them that they were okay and that the church my Uncle is a Minister at has very little damage. Things could have been much worse and it's good to hear they were not.
2. Today was my last, but not last day. Tomorrow was supposed to be my last day at work, but I do not have any further work to do this week so I am not going in tomorrow. It's great to be FREE!!
3. I have gotten in the routine of going out on the patio with the dogs about 4pm and read. It has been a great routine to get into!
1. There is nothing like getting your life cleaned and organized.
2. I am looking forward to my last day of work tomorrow. I know it's not supposed to be the last, but I'm just out of work to do...so it has to be.
3. This afternoon I sat outside in the hammock swing to read my book and feel asleep. It was the best sleeping place I have had, besides my bed, in a long time.
1. My mom and I used to have Mother/Daughter time a lot when I was younger...even up until about a year or so ago. Because we have both been so busy we just haven't found that quality time. Yesterday we made time for one another and it was great! I miss those times.
2. It's amazing how Jeremy and I are on the same page. We went to the gym last night, but neither of us was really feeling like lifting weights. So instead we just did some cardio and went home. We pretty much did all of this without saying much until we made the decision. We were just right on the same page.
3. When it's 100 degrees outside the AC is the best thing in the world.
1. My Mom has been out of town for the past 5 weekends. This weekend was great because it was the first weekend in over a month we were able to go back to our old routine of Starbucks and Church. I missed that!
2. You're probably wondering how being bored can be a joy...let me explain. I get bored reading the same book over a period of time, so I have to put it down and start a new one before coming back to the first one. Today I went and got a new book and was so excited that I am already on page 60.
3. It's amazing being able to talk about your fears, especially with the one you love, with out fear of judgement.
1. Earlier this week I did something to my knee. I'm not sure what I did...or how I did it, but my knee ended up swollen and very difficult to walk on. My Mom has this amazing stuff called Bio-Freeze that I would rub on it every night and now my knee is better. That stuff is amazing.
2. Tonight Jeremy and I went out to celebrate a friends birthday. It's great to be able to spend time with good friends!
3. Tonight we watched a movie called 'The Family Stone' which tells the story of a man bringing his girlfriend home at Christmas to meet his family. I think ti's great because it reminds me so much of my family and how we are when my brother brings home a girl to meet the family. It's great to see dysfunctional families in movies to know....we're not alone.
1. Tonight Jeremy and I went on our first date again. It was so much fun, and very creative. He's getting this romance stuff!!
2. Today I had Starbucks for the first time since Sunday. Boy, was it GOOD!!
3. When it's your last Friday at a yucky job the phrase TGIF takes on a whole new beautiful phrase.
1. Tonight we were driving around and when I looked behind us there was an amazing sunset. The sky looked like it was on fire, but it was so beautiful.
2. While driving around tonight, we drove by the house I grew up in as a child. Although it was discouraging to see how they had changed the house (for the worse) it was good to be back in the old neighborhood.
3. When you're hungry there's nothing better than an all you can eat buffet...YUMMM!!
1. I turned in my letter of resignation, and honestly it was a HUGE relief. Now I get to move on to bigger and better.
2. It has been SO hot here this week. My Dad has installed misters on the back patio which I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside with this afternoon.
3. So, I had the misters and my book this afternoon, and all I needed was the hammock swing to sit in, which I did. There is nothing like sitting in a hammock reading a good book!
1. Today I had a meeting with my advisor that was very encouraging. I learned the path I need to take in order to get my teachers licence. It is going to be tough, but very do able.
2. Today was the day for decisions. First with school and later with my job. I have decided it best to move on and try new things. I have been unhappy where I am, and life is too short to go through that. After making my decision I haven't been happier. Now, it's just the tough part of turning in my resignation.
3. Jeremy and I haven't had much for our cuddle time talks. Tonight, we made the time. Although tough, it was a good talk!
1. Day one of the ABS diet has been okay. I was able to eat good healthy food without starving myself. I didn't even have to limit all of the carbs...which I love. I think this may work.
2. Isn't it amazing when you think all of the doors are shut one opens up? I thought I was too late to get into school for the fall. After calling the University today I found out another avenue I can take so I can start school this fall. I'm totally jazzed!
3. Today was the highest day we have had so far this year, it was supposed to get up to 95 degrees. You know what is beautiful? Walking into a cool house and just sitting. The heat sure can be exhausting.
1. My parents came home today from a wedding in Tulluride, Colorado. It was so good to have them back home!
2. Since it was my Daddy's special day I fixed him dinner complete with steak, potatoes, squash, salad, bread and dessert. It's so great to do special things like that for those you love.
3. Since my parents are home...the dogs are gone...from my bed that is. I love the two dogs, but they are a pain to sleep with. I'm glad my parents are home so they can have them back!!
1. I love Saturday's with Jeremy. Mostly because we lounge around most of the morning until we have to get up to do something. It's really quite amazing.
2. Today Jeremy and I went with our friend Adam to watch the Silver Surfer and eat at Johnny Rockets. I really enjoy Johnny Rockets, it takes me back to what I would like to think is 'the good ol' times'.
3. I'm starting to venture out with cooking for Jeremy. I know it's just from a box, but the hamburger helper tonight was delicious....I hope he thinks the same.
1. I haven't been this excited about a Friday in a long time, maybe that has to do with the fact that I have been gone most weekends. This was a great relaxing Friday.
2. I went for my first reflexology treatment today. I didn't know what to expect, but it was so great and relaxing. I think I need to have it done more often.
3. What's even better than reflexology?? Coming home afterward to my baby and dinner. What more could a girl want?
1. Today I went to fill in working at the vet. It was so great to be back there. What a great environment to be in.
2. Since my parents are out of town, I'm having to man the house. Cooking and cleaning....makes me think I CAN make a great wife someday.
3. Since I was working at the vet today, I got off at 4. That's the way to go, if I were to pick my hours, I would work from 7 to 4. It's great to beat rush hour traffic.
1. Tonight after dinner I had a cookie dough sundae...you wanna know what the joy is about it?? It was only 3 grams of fat....and it was TASTY!!! Wohoo!!
2. Me, the girl who doesn't like to work, picked up another job part time this summer filling in and doing projects. One good thing about that....$$$$!! (Wow, I sound shallow)
3. Well, once again I am starting at the gym again. What is this like 6 times this year? Anyways, I lifted today and it felt great. It's 'pumping the iron' that gets me in the workout mode!
1. Now, I don't know if I would call this a beauty right now...but in a few months or so I will think so. I realized today I need to get over myself. I am home from the most beautiful place I know, and now I need to make the best of it.
2. At work I sit by a window. Every morning from the time I get here at 8 until about 10 the sun shines right in the window, through the little holes in the blinds and hits me right in the eye. I love the sun...but I don't like to go blind. Today we had a dark cloud hanging over head. Most would think what a bad, scary cloud, but I was relieved by it.
3. You know how you never really appreciate something until you don't have it? My mom has gotten in the habit of stopping at Starbucks on her way to work with the vet and bring me a coffee. Today she was sick and didn't make it out. Although I was very concerned about her health, I realized sometimes I don't appreciate what she does and the joy it brings both her and me.
I have lost my sense of beauty since I left Montana. All I can think about that is beautiful and joyful here in the desert is Jeremy, Rainy days and Starbucks.
1. Since we had Monday off with the holiday, I was worried I was going to have to work all day this week to stay caught up with my work. Guess what?? I didn't!! It was nice leaving today at my normal time.
2. I am a shoe-a-holic. There I said it, I LOVE SHOES!! Today was great because I went and bought some new shoes for our Montana trip. I love the feeling of slipping your toes into cute new sandals!!
3. I had coffee today with one of Jeremy's high schoolers. It's a great feeling to finally be that adult role model that kiddos look up to!
1. I love it when you're watching one of your favorite movies and a second favorite comes on right after it. That happened to me today. I was watching 'The American President' on one of the movie channels and right after it 'Dirty Dancing' came on. I was a happy couch potato.
2. My parents were out of town at a wedding in Phoenix this weekend. They were gone from Thursday until today when they came home. I am sure glad to have them back home!
3. Jeremy is a huge basketball fan. I have never been into basketball, I have always been the football girl. Needless to say I have had to learn the game of basketball and I feel I have done a pretty good job at picking it up. Tonight Jeremy and I were watching the Spurs play game 4 against the Jazz. I had to laugh because I was getting into the game and yelling at the TV like I would when watching a football game. All I can say is Jeremy has to know he did a good job at getting me into basketball when I'm yelling like I'm watching a football game.
1. Today Jeremy and I went to Starbucks before church. This is a routine of my Mom's and mine on Sundays as we head into church. Today was different as Jeremy and I had the extra time to sit outside of Starbucks and just pause for 20 minutes and enjoy the morning. It was great.
2. Today was date day and you know where we spent it?? The ZOO!!! It was so much fun to walk around with the one I love and see all of the animals. It reminded me of the days when I used to go there as a kid.
3. I had never seen Shrek (1 or 2) until this weekend. Tonight we finished Shrek 2 and I thought it was great. I can't wait to see the third!
1. Today was an opportunity to stay in bed all day, what a joy to do nothing but veg out in bed watching movies all day.
2. I have had netflix for awhile now, but really didn't take advantage of it until this week. I knew I would have all day today to be in bed so I made sure I had 3 new movies here today. How great is it to go out to the mailbox and find my daily entertainment waiting for me!!
3. I had to stay alone last night which terrified me. I have never been so glad to see the sun at 5:30 am!!
1. Today I left work early. Not for any particular reason except I was bored of being there. I find such joy in being able to do that.
2. There's nothing like looking forward to a 3 day weekend!!
3. Today there was a storm with really threatening clouds, I love those threatening clouds!!
1. I got some Barnes and Noble gift cards for my graduation, so I went today and got a few new books. It's always so exciting for me when I can open the crisp new pages of a new book.
2. I have an older brother, Jimmy. He is a great guy, but today he was even greater. He surprised us and fixed dinner. It's so good to see him coming around again.
3. There's nothing like a hot shower to awaken all of your senses.
1. Tonight as I was walking Jeremy out my breath was taken away by the crisp cool air. I love summer nights and the feelings that are associated with them.
2. This was the final season of the Gilmore Girls. I have loved this show from the beginning and it was sad to see it come to an end. Today I was finally able to see the finale that was on earler. I can honestly say this was one of the best series finales I have seen in a long time. I will miss those Gilmore Girls!!
3. Cuddle time is great, so when you think you wont have one you covet that time and soak it in even more!
1. I went to my favorite cafe today with my Mom and brother and had mud pie. Let me tell you, it was sooo amazing. I think I am in love!
2. When you work in an office full of cutthroat people, it's great to have allies. You know the people who will really watch out for your back and keep you informed on the happenings that involve you.
3. It's great to have afternoons free, sometimes, however, I don't know what to do with myself. It can be a great feeling!
It has been over a week now since my last beauty and I have to say I am so sorry and have no excuse for my lack of insight to beautiful things around me. I have been so crazy with Finals, Graduation and getting everything ready for my final grades. I also just got back from a wonderful vacation with my family to Las Vegas. Needless to say I am now back in town and back to writing my beauties. I'm so sorry for the absence...enjoy!!
1. It's good to take some time to catch up on how things are going in a relationship, especially when the last month has been so hectic.
2. Today was my first weekday as a graduate and it felt pretty good to have the afternoon off with nothing to worry about getting done!!
3. I love thunderstorms. Today we had one and I sat by the window and watched it rain. It was amazing!!
1. On this special day for mom's I find so much beauty and joy in my Mom. She is an amazing woman who I am really thankful for!!
2. After my long week, I decided to be a bum today. There is so much beauty in a woman who is just herself. I'm so glad Jeremy loves me for who I am and is okay with me being a bum!
3. We originally had plans to go out and celebrate Mother's Day, instead we decided to stay home and have a relaxing day. It was so wonderful to do that!!
1. Yup...that's right. Today was my graduation. It's amazing how something so little as walking across a stage can mean so much to 6 years of hard work!!
2. Today was also my graduation party. Everyone was so amazing getting it all put together. It was such a great party and everyone really seemed to have a great time!!
3. Friends are amazing. Especially those who truly care about who you are the the things you have accomplished!
1. The end came today with my last final. I can't wait for graduation tomorrow.
2. Jeremy and I had to stop by the store for some things for the party. We went through the self-check line and saved so much time. They are wonderful.
3. My Grandma got in late last night from Colorado. I am so excited to have her here for my graduation.
1. Today I got a crappy cup of coffee from starbucks, but I made up for it when I got one of the best cups of coffee at Satellite. I think it's my new favorite coffee shop!
2. Shoe stores are amazing!! Today I had to kill some time before CompUSA opened so I went shoe shopping. There is nothing like killing time at a shoe store.
3. Today I turned in my last paper of my college career. What a relief!!
1. The sense of smell is wonderful!!! Today Jeremy and I were outside doing some studying and about the same time we both smelled the blooming flowers. I was great.
2. My Grandma just got in tonight from Colorado for my graduation. I was so excited to see her!
3. Jeremy is a wonderful helper!! Today he spent his afternoon helping us clean for my party. I don't know too many guys who would do that. He sure is a one of a kind man!!
1. I am in the home stretch for graduating. Only 3 more days...I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.
2. Today at work I made a decision. I need to have these last few days before graduation for studying for finals, so I decided to take the time off. It was great to finally come to that decision.
3. My boyfriend is amazing. I was really stressing out and he planned a relaxing 'spa evening' for me. It was a amazing!!
1. I have the best Mom in the world. She brings me Starbucks and takes me to lunch. She is always there when I need to talk to her. I love her so much.
2. Windows are amazing. Especially when you are at a cafe working on free wireless Internet by the river staring out at the mountains. What a beautiful way to study!!
3. Just like I have the best Mom, I have the best Daddy too. Today he was his funny great self when he refused to let me use his car to drive to the Dr. across the street. Sure it was a silly request, but it was even better hearing him tell the story later tonight.
1. Isn't it amazing how getting your nails done can make you feel pretty?? Especially when your boyfriend comments on them, I really feel like a pretty lady.
2. For those of you who haven't experienced a desert sunset, you are missing out. Today Jeremy and I met his friend Jeff in Santa Fe, and it happened that we drove back when the sun was setting. It was beautiful.
3. It's a wonderful day when nothing of great drama happens at work. I love that!!
1. Today I was at Jeremy's and ended up taking an almost 2 hour nap. Isn't it amazing how a nap can really make you forget what is making you upset? I think its true when people say they have to sleep on things...it really helps.
2. I'm not a big fan of breakfast, let alone breakfast for dinner. Tonight Jeremy asked what I wanted for dinner and I really wanted a waffle. So we packed up and went to Denny's. It was so amazing!!
3. Today we watched 'The Greatest Game Ever Played' I remember seeing it once before but I didn't remember it. It's such a great movie all around, especially for those of us who have dreams we feel we sometimes have to give up. It's great to know we don't have to.
1. Today I had the opportunity to join Jeremy and his co-workers for lunch to celebrate one of their own, Debbie. Debbie is embarking on a new journey in her life and retiring. I was so blessed to share the opportunity to wish her well today.
2. At the lunch I realized just how amazing it is to be surrounded by co-workers that love and enjoy you. It really makes me wish I had that, but it's a joy to see that Jeremy does.
3. Today, I planted my strawberries. This is a tradition I have enjoyed doing since I was a little girl. When I was younger I used to have them in a whisky barrel, and although I do not have that anymore it just wouldn't be summer without my strawberries.
1. I truly loved Wednesday night programming with the kids, but I can tell you I am so glad tonight was the last night. I am looking forward to the break.
2. It's amazing how being in the arms of the one you love will erase the bad day you had!
3. I got a chicken sandwich today and you know what the best part was?? The crunchy sour pickle. It really made the sandwich!!
1. I love driving my Daddy's car. It always makes me feel like a hot chick. Today I had to take it to get an oil change and I was a hot chick doing so!!
2. My Daddy is a funny guy. Up until about 4 years ago he refused to have a cell phone, now tonight, I got my first text message from him. What a cool dude he is now!!
3. Tonight the local movie theatre was showing the 20th anniversary showing of Dirty Dancing on the big screen. It was so much fun to be in the company of a sold out theatre of Dirty Dancing lovers.
1. It was a rough weekend so to have a day full of laughs free of struggle was a great feeling. I'm so glad things are on their way back to normal.
2. I have been into the show Heroes because my Daddy and Jeremy have been. Usually I fall asleep, but I get what is going on. Today I was excited and waiting for it to come on....I think I am now one of 'them'. (But I did fall asleep again...)
3. Waiting in lines can be awful. Today Jeremy took me to class and we stopped for lunch. We were going to go to a local BBQ place but were worried because there is usually a long line. We came up with a plan B but decided to drive by just to see how busy this place was, and you know what? It wasn't busy. Isn't it great when you think there is going to be a line somewhere and there isn't?? It was great!! Not only that but we got to eat outdoors and enjoy the fresh air with our lunch...what more could we ask for?
1. Today my Mom, Jeremy and I went to the local garden center after church and brunch and bought flowers to plant at my parents house. I love buying flowers in spring to make the patio and gardens bright and beautiful.
2. Tonight was the High School mini golf outting to the local mini golf course, Hinkle. I had such a great time with those youngsters...and it was fun playing only one over myself!!
3. It's amazing to see kiddos you think are troubled actually doing good. Tonight I was speaking with one of the high schoolers who goes to a rougher school. He was telling me about his 4.2 GPA and all of the AP classes he has taken...all of this on top of playing sports every season. Knowing the school he comes from this was an amazing breath of sunshine!
1. Today was clean up the yard day for my graduation party in two weeks. It was really good to get out in the fresh air!
2. Tonight we had a BBQ with out young adult group. It was so much fun and we had the best steaks as always!!
3. While working in the yard, we got really really hungry so my Mom went and got us Subway for lunch. I don't think I have ever had subway taste so good!!
1. After the week I have had, I'm so glad that it is Friday!!!
2. I have 1 week to go of my final semester in college....it's about time.
3. Tonight I went to the circus. It was such an amazing show. I was a little leery about going at first, but I'm so glad I did. I had a ball!!
1. Today I finished my last full paper of the semester. What a relief that is!
2. My new computer came in today. I haven't had much time to play with it, but it is still WAY exciting!!
3. When I've had a bad day, there is nothing I want or crave more than my bed. It is sure good to get in it!!
1. I was FINALLY able to get into an adviser to get on track for my teaching. I was about to beat myself up that I had waited too long until today. I found out I can start this summer preparing for the rest of my life in a career I have always wanted. I'm so so excited!
2. One of my professors handed back an assignment we did at the beginning of the semester and guess what?? I got an 'A'...how wonderful!!
3. There is this great local fried chicken joint named Golden Pride. On the way to church I stopped and had THE BEST chicken sandwich and fries..sure beats CiCi's!!!
1. I am a serious fan of Chris Daughtry. I remember watching him on Idol and knew he should have won!! I was so excited when he came out with his CD. Now he has an acoustic version of "Rocket Man" that has been playing on the radio and I absolutely love listening to it!!
2. What I feel is absolutely amazing is online package tracking. I am waiting for my computer to arrive by FedEx...and I'm able to track its every move on the way here.
3. Jeremy and I got to swim today and oh my it was the hardest workout that left me feeling wonderful!!
1. Today I got a paper back that I had re-written. It was a joy to look on the back of that paper and see the words, "much improved"!
2. I have been trying to knit. Today one of the girls from our Young Adult group came for fellowship and brought me a knitting round thingy to try to help me learn. I was so excited for her to do that!!
2. Tonight we had a time of fellowship with out Young Adult group. It went longer than usual and Jeremy and I weren't able to make it to the gym, but that's okay because I would take hanging out with these people over going to the gym any day!!
1. Well, I finished paper number 3 today. So that means 3 down and one more to go before finals. Wohoo...the home stretch!!
2. I love Texas Roadhouse!! It is one of my favorite places to go!! I absolutely love our brunch tradition when we go there.
3. Today Jeremy, my Dad and I went to the driving range to hit some golf balls. It was so much fun to get out in the fresh air and enjoy time with my favorite men in the world!!
1. I love the feeling in the air when there is a thunder storm. I love to sit and watch the dark clouds stream overhead while hearing the rumble of the thunder. Today we had a bit of that and it was wonderful!
2. I think teamwork is great, but what is the best is teamwork between a father and son. My dad and brother were working today at the house hanging doors and to see my Dad have a helper and that helper was my brother was great!
3. My family is so very important to me. I am so happy that they have embraced Jeremy and he has embraced them. It is very important to me for that to happen and it did. He must be a keeper.
1. Jeremy and I had date night again tonight. Wow!! Two weeks in a row. It was so much fun! We decided tonight to use the entertainment book that has two for one coupons. We saved almost $10 and had a great time. The entertainment book is a beautiful thing.
2. For dinner Jeremy and I went to Johnny Rockets which is an old time 50's diner. It was so much fun to see the servers dancing to music and really portraying a 50's atmosphere. Plus they had really good food.
3. I have finally made up my mind. I am going to embark on a new journey...I'm getting a mac. I'm excited I finally made up my mind and I'm excited to try this new chapter in my life.
1. Today I finished 2 out of 5 papers I have due before next Friday. It was such a relief to get them done, I can't wait to finish the rest of them now!!
2. Tonight was a new Grey's Anatomy and Smallville. Isn't it funny how we wait weeks for a new show...only to wait another? I don't care I was so excited for the new ones and they were GREAT!!!
3. Jeremy and I have completely different ways in which we work. I am one who has to have to the TV on. I don't know what's going on on this TV, but I need it for noise. If I listen to music I get too distracted. Jeremy is the opposite. He listens to music and gets distracted while working with the TV on. These differences are amazing because they allow me to work on papers while Jeremy relaxes and watches TV. We are quirky but great!
1. I have had a less than stellar week, so I was throughly looking forward to hanging out with my Kiddos tonight at WEBS. Isn't it amazing how the joy and love from little ones can brighten your day??
2. Jeremy and I went to the gym tonight and sat in the hot tub. It was an amazing way to unwind from a busy day, I can't wait to do it tomorrow!!
3. While at the gym tonight I had to undress closer to the door than I usually do. Before I used to be very embarrassed of my body...especially naked. Lately I have come to accept and embrace it. A woman and her own body...a beautiful thing.
1. To celebrate the end of tax season, my family always goes to dinner. Tonight we went to Antiquity, our favorite restaurant in old town, and had a wonderful dinner.
2. The meeting didn't end with and "I'll see you in about a month" but rather "you are on the right path and I will be praying for you." All I can say to that is AMEN!!!
3. You know what the greatest thing in the world is?? Mint cookies-n-cream shakes from Chick-Fil-A. OH MY!!!! They are so so yummy!!
1. I got one of those cool new Camelbak water bottles this weekend, and let me tell you it's wonderful!! Despite having to suck on it like a bottle (and no not a Gatorade bottle) it's no drippy-ness is wonderful!!!
2. It's great to have flexibility. I have many assignments due these next couple of weeks and one of my professors decided to add another assignment today which is due Wednesday. Jeremy and I had plans to hit the pool at the gym, but instead he was willing to come back home so I could do homework. I'm so grateful for flexibility.
3. I have been listening to the stories of the shooting at Virginia Tech. I find beauty in the bravery of the young students and even professors who risked themselves to keep others in the room safe.
1. I love the movie You've Got Mail, you want to know why? Because everytime I watch it I can fall asleep, so when I am needing to get some sleep it's great to pop it in and fall asleep.
2. Jeremy is amazing...let me tell you why. Today my brother got back in from a wedding in Vegas. His plane didn't arrive until 9:55pm which means my very tired Mom would have had to go get him during this time. Jeremy was great and suggested we go get him. I love serving with him!!
3. I didn't get to spend much time with Jeremy today as he had stuff to do for work. Although it was very little, I was joyful for the time I did get to spend with him!
1. I was sick today with the flu or something and you know what was better than anything in the world?? A bed to lay and take a nap in.
2. The second best thing today...Sprite.
3. And you know what beat out a bed? My amazing boyfriend offering to drive me home when I really got to feeling bad. He is one amazing dude!!
1. Following in my plan to attend every class until this semester is over, I actually made it to a Friday afternoon class. Yay for me!!
2. Date Night!! Date Night!! I love Date Night!! Jeremy and I went on date night tonight for the first time in a long time. It was so great to be back on a date with him...I hope he asks me out on another!
3. Part of our Date Night included renting the movie 'Holiday'. I had wanted to see it when it came out in the theater but we just didn't make it. I was so excited when Jeremy agreed to watch it, and let me tell you it's the best date night movie I have seen in a LONG time!!
1. I had to e mail in sick today to work to work on my paper. I am very fortunate that I have this flexibility.
2. Jeremy had a project in at the church to do today, so I tagged along and was his helper. I love being his helper!
3. We continued our routine today with a trip to the gym. What was beautiful about it was deciding we need to change up our cardio routine so as to not throw our old joints out, or at least throw my old joints out.
1. I have a sweet tooth, and I love nothing more than something sweet after dinner. Tonight it was cookies. Although they weren't the freshest, they still hit the spot for satisfying my sweet tooth.
2. My little cousin is learning to drive. Tonight I let him drive my car home from the church...about 20 miles or so. It was such a beautiful thing to get home in one piece.
3. Today was day two of the gym. We almost bailed, but didn't. And I'm so glad we didn't.
1. I have started something Jeremy has inspired me to do and that is get organized with my life. From where I sit now...it's working out okay, and it's kind of nice to have a schedule for your day.
2. Here's to fresh new starts...going to the gym that is. We started back again today...and hopefully this will be a new routine!
3. I haven't had a new playlist on my ipod in a year. Tonight I worked out to a newly created playlist and it was AMAZING!!
1. For all who know me, you know I am a Starbucks girl. I usually eat, sleep and am Starbucks. Today, I was out and went to a different coffee shop...I am now a believer in Satellite Coffee here in Albuquerque.
2. Quietness is something to be treasured, especially when it's at work.
3. I love Jeremy's couch at his office. It's my little refuge from the annoyances and hardships in life. It seems like when I'm on that couch all my troubles drift away as I sink into its soft cushions.
1. I think I have probably said this before, but can I tell you how much I love Chili's take out? There is nothing like ordering food...picking it up 15 minutes later...taking it home and enjoying it with the one you love.
2. I don't know what my problem was, but today I slept...ALOT. I must have been tired, but after a nap and falling asleep early, I sure hope I am ready for the next week.
3. It's great to share your old traditions with new people. Jeremy joined us for Easter this year. We always go to Church and then to brunch. I'm so glad he got to share in this with us.
1. Today I was addressing my graduation announcements. I'm really excited about being done, but reality is starting to sink in now that I'm announcing it to the world!
2. It has been a delight to have Jeremy's brother, Jamie, in town. I am, however, looking forward to it just being the two of us again!
3. Its been snowing here today. Can you believe that? We have sun shine on Christmas and snow on Easter. It's days like these that I find joy and beauty in the sun...where are you sun??
1. Tonight was the second game of our local minor league team the Albuquerque Isotopes. I love baseball season and going to watch the games. Tonight was our first outing of the season and oh so much fun!!
2. Okay, so I am definitely not the movie watcher Jeremy is. I haven't seen nearly as many movies as he has. Today he shared with me one he grew up watching, Smokey and the Bandit. I thought it was such a fun movie...I can't wait to see it again.
3. Since I got sick early in March I haven't had much time at work to get my desk organized. Today I finally got all of my filing done, and boy does it feel good!
1. Today I had a Dr.'s appointment. As I was walking into the hospital there was a woman walking with a cane who flagged me down. She was needing an arm to hold onto as she walked from the parking lot into her appointment. Very few times do I get the opportunity to help like this and I was very grateful to her for allowing me to be that helper.
2. The lady at the Dr.'s office put me in a helping mood, so at the grocery store I did another good deed. I had a basketful of groceries and went to check out. I noticed the lady behind me only had 3 tomatoes so I asked if she would like to go ahead of me. She was very thankful for saving her that time, and I was overjoyed at my good deeds I had done.
3. Today I had lunch with my Mom. This used to be a regular thing for her and I to do, but since I have been so busy with school and work, my schedule has not allowed for it. It was nice to get that opportunity to do that with her again. I love my Mommy!
1. I wouldn't call myself a master fast typer, but I do hold my own and it's so exciting when I can type really really fast!
2. I love to take naps. I find them so refreshing! But you know what's even better? Taking a nap with the one you love! Now that's what I call beauty!
3. Microsoft has a note taking program called One Note. I absolutely love taking my lecture notes with this program. I am thinking still about getting a mac, the only thing is mac doesn't have a version of One Note. I think I would miss it too much to switch over.
1. I was always told when you find the one, you know. I had been searching and thought I had found it...but I hadn't. Today, you know what?? I found it. And everyone was right...when you know, you know!!
2. I am very much one who enjoys my sleep. Tonight we were up late though since we went to see Jesus Christ Superstar. Sometimes it's nice to do something outside the norm.
3. I'm usually very critical of our band at church. Today was different. I was really connecting with God today at church and it was a great feeling!
1. It has been years since I have been up the Sandia Peak Tramway...the longest in the world. It was so much fun to go today with Jeremy and his family, I think we're going to have to do it more often.
2. All the years I have lived here in Albuquerque, my whole life, I have never been to Old Town to walk around in the shops. We didn't make it through them all but it was a whole lot of fun. I need to go back to finish going through all the shops.
3. Tonight was the night of blending families. Jeremy's family came to my parents house for dinner. Everyone seemed to get along very well, I hope this is an indication of what it will be like years to come!
1. Today, my Mom and I went with Jeremy's mom Paula and her friend Darla to a quilt shop. It was so much fun and really got me in the mood to rekindle my lost love of crafting.
2. After a week in Mexico taking an ice cold shower it was such a treat to come home and have warm water. It was heavenly.
3. While in Mexico there was little time for cuddle time. I missed the talks. It is great to have that time back again.
1. Today was the dedication for the house we built. The smile on the faces of the family members receiving the house really made the trip worth it.
2. In Mexico you can't flush toilet paper down the toilet. Driving back I was so excited to finally be able to flush everything down again...every time.
3. I had a great time in Mexico, but it is so good to be back to my own home.
1. Jeremy's youngest brother Jamie is in town to go with us to Mexico. It is so good to see him and see Jeremy interact with him.
2. Today I had testing for graduate school and although it was early it was a great start to my future.
3. Talking about the future can sometimes be discouraging, but it is good to do it, so I'm glad I had the chance again today to do so.
1. So tonight Jeremy had a progressive dinner with his high schoolers. Let me tell you there is nothing better than hanging out with a bunch of teenagers to take you back to the good old high school days!
2. What's the greatest breakfast besides cold pizza or tacos? You guessed it...breakfast burritos. I'm so glad there is a great little place on the way to work where I can pick one up.
3. What a long week it has been. It was so relieving to get on the shuttle after class to know I was done for a week!
1. Ever since I was sick, Jeremy has been hanging out here at my parents house. Today we hung out at his house again. It was sure good to be back there!!
2. One of Jeremy's friends, and my new in person (FINALLY) friend, Sarah made me a mix CD while we were in Oregon. It was great to hear the songs on the CD at work today..it sure saved my day!
3. We had a rain storm today. As much as the cold wetness was a bit unpleasant, I loved it!! There is nothing like a good rain shower!!
1. Today I got a test back from one of my midterms and found out I got a solid "B". For something I didn't think I did well on, I was excited to know I passed and with a pretty good grade too.
2. Today I got called into the Principal's office. We had a talk about not wearing perfume at work because it is causing someone allergies. I'm so glad it was about that and not about the messenger...
3. For some reason I have been craving desserts lately. Jeremy and I went to Subway for lunch today and they were out of cookies, I was so bummed. What made up for it, however, was going to Friday's after WEBS and getting dessert. YUMMMM!!!
1. Can I tell you how much I enjoy Tuesdays? I really do, because I don't have class and I can just have an afternoon to myself.
2. My baby got an ipod, and as much as I am jealous that I didn't have money to get one too, I'm excited because I know how long he has been wanting and saving for one.
3. There is something about Barnes and Noble that makes me feel safe. I don't know if it's because it's quiet or just because I'm surrounded by my passion, but tonight at Barnes and Noble I was so excited to be there and buy a couple of new books.
1. I received an e mail today from a man I have never met in person, I have just talked to him on the phone. He is one of our vendors for appliances in Houston. The reason I am finding joy in him is because after a week of being out sick with strep throat he is the only one from work that asked if I was feeling better. Thanks Whirlpool man!
2. I took the afternoon off of school today. I was really tired and disgusted from work and just didn't think I needed to go to school. Rather I found comfort in Jeremy's office working on homework.
3. Jeremy told me tonight he's thinking of changing his schedule around so that on Monday's and Wednesdays we can carpool into Albuquerque. This excites me because I absolutely love our rides in the car and the conversations we have there.
1. Jeremy and I went with my parents tonight to see "Wild Hogs" and let me tell you it was a blast. Not only was I excited to see the movie since I spent some time in Madrid during the filming, but it was a freaking hilarious movie!!!
2. I know it was only Sunday School, and I know I didn't really do that much, but today I got to fill in for Jeremy to teach his Sunday School class since he was out of town. This was the first time I had really been alone with this age group, and let me tell you...I'M SOOOO READY TO TEACH!!!
3. It was only to days, but it felt like forever. I was so glad to have my love return home to me!!
1. Isn't it amazing when people forgive you. I mean, you can do something so "you", so stupid and when someone forgives you for that it's the greatest feeling in the world.
2. Tonight I went to see the Lipizzaner Stallions. I wasn't sure at first, but when it was all over I really thought of how amazing these huge animals were with what they did.
3. Although I may not always use it wisely, my alone time is very important to me. Today was a great day of that, and I feel refreshed from it.
1. I have been reading the book "Marley and Me" for...well lets just say a LONG time. Tonight I was finally able to take the time to finish it. Although it was a sad ending, it was a great accomplishment. That's 2 books down in a week...I'm on a roll.
2. It's great that after a week in bed trying to get over this yucky throat thing I am FINALLY better. I wouldn't say I'm 100%, but I'm getting there. I think I'm up to 92%.
3. My Daddy had to go to Houston for business Wednesday night. I know it was only 2 nights he was gone, but it felt like forever and I was so glad to have him back home.
1. Ohh it was so great to see new Smallville and Gray's Anatomy tonight. LANA!! What are you doing??
2. I don't know what it is about Sprite, but since I have been sick its been the only thing that I have wanted to drink. Oh how I love thee Sprite.
3. Just like Sprite has been all I have wanted to drink...Mac n Cheese has been all I have wanted to eat. Blue box...shells...from Outback. It doesn't matter. As long as it's noodles with cheese I'm a happy camper.
1. Yes...you get your own heading. I have the greatest boyfriend. He is so amazing he has spent 2 whole days with me while I have been sick and 2 hours at the Dr. I don't know many guys who would do that.
2. When you're sick there's nothing better than knowing what is wrong with you...even if it's yucky strep throat.
3. What's the next best thing to the PIR when you are sick?? Movies!! I love to watch movies when I'm sick!
1. When flying into San Francisco today we flew right over the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz. It was so exciting to see these things I had been searching for from the air. Next step...see them up close.
2. It was such a relief to get on the plane this evening knowing I was returning to Albuquerque.
3. My bed always feels so good when I return from a trip. I love it!!
1. Jeremy and I walked a few block up the street today to get Subway. It was really a great time since this is something we couldn't do in Albuquerque.
2. I hear all the time of all of Jeremy's friends through Youth Encounter. It was great to get to meet some of them.
3. One of the best things for me has been to see my Man up on the stage doing his thing. I am always so proud of him, and even more so when I can see him at work.
1. Today Jeremy and I left for the Oregon quake. It was such a great feeling knowing that today, Thursday, was my Friday.
2. I had a long layover in San Fran...3 hours to be exact. So when we flew into the airport I was searching all over to see the Golden Gate bridge. I didn't find it, unfortunately, but it was a great time looking!!
3. I'm in a new state!! Wohoo...add Oregon to my list!!
1. So not only is today hump day, but it's also hump day and that makes me smile. Wednesday are always great to get through and get over the hump to the end of the week. But today I also had 2 mid terms. What a great hump to get over and prepare for the downhill slide to graduation.
2. I'm sitting here at the deli on campus just chillin. This is something I don't usually do, and it's actually kind of nice to sit here and take this break.
3. After a couple of weeks off I was back at it with the Elem. kids at the Wednesday night programing. It was great to be back with those little people.
1. I had to take a break from work today to do some studying. I have midterms tomorrow and needed to stay home and prepare for those. It was a needed break from work.
2. Since I was at home today, I got caught up on my blogs. Although I do seem to have writers block, I am able to still talk about my day.
3. What a great thing a nap can be. Today I was able to take one and boy did in rejuvinate me!!
1. Jeremy wasn't feeling well last night so he canceled the Monday night bible study. Although I was sad, it was a nice break with just the two of us at home!
2. After 2 nights spent on the floor of a hotel room, it was nice to wake up in my own bed!
3. One love Jeremy and I have found is Carside to Go. There's nothing better than calling in an order at Chili's, picking it up, and eating it over a great conversation in the comfort of our own home!
1. Since we were leaving Denver we decided to stop for one last Chipotle before heading home. Oh...how AMAZING!!
2. When you're in a car with Mid-Schoolers there's nothing better than FINALLY getting to your destination. In today's case it was the church.
3. When Jeremy and I got back to my house there were amazing meatball sandwiches waiting for us. After a long day in the car it was just what I needed!
1. Crazy how vegging out in front of a TV watching infomercials can be so...well....relaxing.
2. We were on our own for lunch today at the Quake, and guess what was only a couple of miles away? That's right, Chipotle. We went for lunch and you wouldn't believe it but I finished my first WHOLE burrito from Chipotle. It was an amazing feat.
3. The speaker at the Quake signed to the song "When God Ran" and it was AMAZING. If I had head this song just on the radio or at church it wouldn't have had the same impact as her doing sign language to it.
1. After 8 long hours of driving with the middle schoolers, it was a relief to reach our destination in Denver. Now here comes the fun weekend...
2. It's fantastic to have Free Wi-Fi. Especially in the least likely of places, a McDonald's in po-dunk Trinidad, Colorado.
3. I find spectacular beauty in snow, I just wish I could watch it from the comfort of my home, not from the windshield of a car on a mountain pass.

1. I love sleeping in, but what I love even more is when I actually get up early and have extra time in the morning for....WHATEVER.
2. Today we had lunch with the CYA group. We can all be quiet sometimes but today's lunch was fun and full of conversation.
3. Jeremy had stuff to do today...he was being a good servant, so our Sunday together didn't turn out as always. It was great to FINALLY see him again...better late and little time than not at all!!
1. I was pretty far behind in my blogs, so I'm happy I had the time to get all caught up.
2. It was spring cleaning day...and boy does my room look better!!!
3. It's been awhile since Jeremy and I have had time to go to a movie. Today, our friend Adam was wanting to go see Ghost Rider, so we joined him. I really enjoyed getting to play the preview game again!
1. This past week was long and rough, so I was happy for Friday.
2. Burning the pizza and not caring...it was still a great dinner!
3. I was very very pleased and surprised by my clean car, thank you so much baby!!
1. Jeremy and I planned our schedules today so we could ride around and do our errands together. I enjoy so much our drives together.
2. It's finally that time. I went and picked up my cap and gown for graduation today. It was so exciting, I can't wait!
3. Thursday nights we meet our group before the well for coffee. We usually get there a little late so I only have time for a grande, tonight, we were early, so guess what? I ordered a Venti...yummm!!
1. I haven't had a Valentine in many years, it was such a joy to have one this year.
2. Since it snowed and everything in town was closed, Jeremy and I spent the WHOLE day together. It was amazing.
3. I love my parents. They had plans to go out just the two of them, but when it snowed and everyone else's plans got canceled they allowed all of us kids to join them for Valentines Dinner.
1. I haven't baked anything in a long time, I just don't have time. Today I was baking some brownies for Jeremy and it was great to be doing again!
2. Jeremy and I went out to dinner tonight for his birthday just the two of us. We commented that it really is nice to just have "us" time.
3. Heroes is getting really really good!!!
1. It was a relief today to find out I am healthy. Not that I was worried...okay I was!!
2. Jeremy and I got back in the swing of the gym today. Although it was at 6 in the am, it was still a great feeling.
3. It was the day of swinging. I was back at class today after a week off. It's hard to do, but I'm glad I finally got back into it.
1. I love being able to share my dinner time with the man I love and the family I love...I guess they are one in the same.
2. I had the BEST pickle today!!! There is nothing like a good pickle to brighten your day.
3. I took a nap today and felt sooo refreshed when I woke up.
1. It is such a joy to be able to visit with family I seldom see. It makes me really wish I lived closer.
2. Sitting around a table looking at pictures of a family can really be something special!
3. When you spend your day in a nursing home it can be a little depressing, so it's great to sit around and enjoy a laugh or two while you are there.
1. I was talking with a friend of mine today, and he was telling me how this weekend he gets to be the DD and he's excited about it. That makes me excited too!!
2. My phone died today at work, so I was extremely excited to see my car charger when I got in my car for lunch. He is my friend today!!
3. I am currently in Lubbock, TX visiting family. It's amazing how visits with people you haven't seen in eons can uplift your spirit.
1. It's always a relief when I get my bills in for the week at work. Smooth sailing the rest of the week now.
2. I'm a planner. I love to plan things, even things that don't ever pan out. Tonight...I was planning. Well...not really planning just sorting out some possible plans. For some reason it's my release...what makes me relax.
3. So, even though Jeremy left today which make me shed a tear, I immediately got a smile when I got a text that said he misses me!!
1. When you have bills to pay it's always a joy to know IT'S PAYDAY!!!
2. As Jeremy likes to call it, I was chillaxin yesterday. What a rejuvenation!!!
3. Well it's week 3, and even better than always.
1. The man who invented to go at restaurants was truly and genius and knew how to make me happy. Jeremy and I didn't know what to do for dinner so we ordered Chili's to go. We always get tired of the same old fast food, so this was great and easy!!
2. I am trying to lay off the soda since it's added calories I just DON'T need, but I was having a rough day and my job led me to drink...cherry coke. It really calms my nerves.
3. I really become proud of myself when I use my time wisely. Take for example tonight, I actually did my homework when I could have been laying and watching TV or just laying.
1. Today I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I'm so glad spring is just around the corner.
2. We went and saw Mamma Mia tonight at Pope Joy. It was an amazing performance and soooo funny!!
3. There is nothing better than not having to wake up to an alarm.
1. Tonight Jeremy came over and ate some dinner with us. With my busy schedule I haven't had a home cooked meal in a long time. It was great to have one tonight, especially from the GREATEST cook, my Mom!
2. I turned on my TV tonight and Jerry Springer was on. I couldn't change the channel fast enough. Boy I love the quickness and convenience of the remote!!
3. I have a brother, Jimmy, and for the first time in 3 years he seems like the old Jimmy I grew up with. It's good to have him back!!
1. I love fairy tale ending. I mean what girl doesn't?? I was watching You've Got Mail and struck at how much of a fairy tale it is.
2. Jeremy and I finally got to the season 2 finale of Gray's Anatomy. I can't wait to get caught up on season 3 now.
3. Papa Murphy's pizza is genius. First it's cheap. Second it's fun to stand and watch them make it. Third you can take it home, bake it, and enjoy it in your own home. Amazing!!! and good too!!
1. Today I heard a kiddo playing in the street. It made my heart happy, especially since so often kids now-a-days miss out on their childhoods.
2. What is it about a proposal that makes a girl cry? No not me, but GA was full of them and I just couldn't help buy tear up. Of course, they were tears of joy.
3. It's always good to have some "us" time every once in awhile, even if it means sacrificing your routine.
1. It's been a long time since I have played the guitar...it was great to have my first lesson of the year!!
2. The Daily Lobo, the newspaper at UNM, features a daily sudoku and crossword. I hadn't had time to do them last semester. Today, I did it again for the first time this year!! Yay for being a sudoku champ!!
3. When things are hard, it great to have a day when you get along.
1. Sometimes we just need that push...take for example tonight, even though it's a pain in the butt, it's quite amazing how my dear boyfriend can push me to the gym and the smile I get when I'm done with my work out is even more amazing.
2. I think I'm going to say it every week, but American Idol brings me great joy. I'm so ready for this new season.
3. I love checking things off a list. Today I had a list of about 10 things to do. Be it making an appointment with my advisor or returning items, I loved putting a line through the task I had accomplished on my list.
1. So, anyone who knows me knows I can't sing to save my life. Tonight, however, we did music with the CYA group and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe it's because I didn't have to sing too much since I was running the projector.
2. I am having a great debate on PC vs. Mac. What brings me joy about this is the fact that I CAN choose.
3. So it always makes me smile when Jeremy and I are on the same wavelength. Today I thought of a great idea....and he had already thought of it. Too bad it didn't work out.
1. There is nothing like a little comedy relief in a time of crisis. And Brad Stine....hilarious!!!
2. So I know I have said time and time again how Grey's Anatomy brings me joy. But what is even better is when the one I love is addicted and it brings him joy too!!
3. Families are amazing support groups. You never truly understand how much you appreciate them until there is a crisis!! Thank you to my family for always being there for me as I was there for you.
1. Since Jeremy has his at home day on Thursdays and I don't work Thursday afternoons we get to spend the day together working on...well whatever we have to work on. I love that.
2. I just watched on Fox News how a news helicopter helped a deer get off a sheet of ice. It got down low enough and the wind from the blades moved the deer like a big fan would blow a piece of paper. It was amazing!!
3. It's an amazing feeling to fall asleep in the arms of the one you love. It just sucks getting up and having to go home.
1. I know I've probably said this before, but they guy who invented the Messenger makes me smile. I can talk to the one I love while I'm working. It makes the day so much happier.
2. Moms are great, even if they aren't your own. A girl at church was throwing up and my Mom was there. I think it's great that women can shift into Mom mode at any moment.
3. I was running late to my first day of class today, but I HAD to stop by and get Starbucks. I was sure I was really going to be late, but I wasn't I was on time...actually early. I love that!!!
1. I was able to have a heart to heart tonight with my Dad who is the boss of my boss. I am having a rough time at work with one of his employees, so it was good to finally be able to talk to him about it.
2. I'm super excited that one of my favorite shows, American Idol, is finally back on for the new season. I just wish Jeremy was as excited as I am!
3. Tomorrow is the beginning of the end for me, or is it that it's the beginning of the rest of my life. Either way I start the first day of my last semester as an undergraduate and I am STOKED!!
1. Tonight was Thursday night at the Well. I have always enjoyed going, and the worship and message are usually really good. However, tonight I felt like I was connecting with God more than I ever have which brought me great joy, beauty and happiness.
2. There is nothing like a night of great honest conversation. Especially when answering the questions can be awkward and easily danced around, it's great to know you are being honest and hearing truth.
3. I am finally starting to swim at work. It has been a couple of rough weeks of sinking, and although I'm only doggy paddling right now, I feel I am swimming.
1. Today I spent the afternoon driving around running errands with my Mom. It was good times of laughter and conversation. We haven't done that in a really long time since our schedules do not permit, so it brought great joy that we were able to do that.
2. Walls between people are bad...very very bad. But it's a beautiful thing when you can tear down those walls.
3. I was able to let all of my work frustrations out to my Dad tonight. I don't know where it will go, but I feel a sigh of relief that I let it off my chest.
1. I loved it today when the clock hit 12:00 and it was time for me to leave. You see, work has been a bit of a headache and I love when quittin' time rolls around.
2. No, I'm not talking about covering your you know what...I'm talking about the College and Young Adult Group at the church. We had a few weeks off with the holidays and I really enjoyed getting back into it again tonight. What I enjoyed more was the conversation which sprung from it with Jeremy on the drive back to the Rio.
3. Yes...I'm meeting more new friends. I'm thinking this is the last for awhile and this is the last of the ones that HAVE to approve of me. So far, I have passed through everyone's inspection. If I could just get through Duncan....I'll really feel joy!!
1. We had Chipotle today for the last time before we left San Antonio. I think it's an amazing place to eat and I can't wait to get one here.
2. There's nothing like the sight of your luggage at the bag claim. No more worrying whether it made it or not!!
3. I love to come home to my own pillow. But today I was glad to get back to my bed. You see I had a bad run in with Dramamine. I was so glad to make it safely to my bed before I crashed out.
1. So I will not admit what I did not know...but it was a joy to learn about the Alamo today.
2. Jeremy and I strolled hand in hand tonight as we walked along the Riverwalk. It was such an amazing night with the water and lights hanging. I felt joy and happiness and that I could have easily been in a scene from a movie.
3. Jeremy and I had a 6 month check up. Although I knew the diagnosis, it was a joy to see we checked out A-OKAY!!!
1. Jeremy and I took advantage of walking along the amazing Riverwalk here in San Antonio. It was so great to stroll hand in hand with the one you love while enjoying amazing sights.
2. It has been my goal with this new work out regimen to walk 10,000 steps a day on top of my cardio. Well, seeing as though we were in San Antonio playing tourist, we were able to do that. Actually, we went 12,000 steps!!
3. While taking a break for some ice cream along the Riverwalk it was fun to see the excitement and joy in the kiddos that were there who were chasing birds and seeing who could jump off the highest step. This makes me smile, because it's what I used to do when I was younger. It's good to see kids haven't lost all of their youth.
1. We had to drive around until 2am to find a new hotel here in San Antonio since the one I booked over the internet was HORRIBLE. Jeremy was so patient with me as we searched. I don't know many people who would do that and I love him for it!!
2. I was really needing a break from work, so it is nice to come on vacation and think of nothing but having a good time.
3. Seriously it's great to know you can access the internet even on vacation. The man who invented WI-FI...he was a genius. And he brings me big smiles.
1. I was sleeping with the puppy last night and I could feel his little heart beating away. There's nothing like a heartbeat to make you think in wonder about life.
2. Isn't it great how a helping hand can a. make you feel like a lady and 2. really just make you smile?? It's still icy on the ground here from our snow Saturday. Tonight we went to Olive Garden and my Daddy put out his hand to help me step up on the icy sidewalk which I thought was so thoughtful!!
3. Well, they aren't pretty, but passing grades really makes me smile a joyful smile of relief!
1. Okay, so I know it can be a little annoying sometimes, but tonight I just got a big smile when the dogs ran down the stairs to greet me. Plus, little Chance wanted to sleep with me...even better.
2. Yes, I know yesterday was New Year's, but today was the first day back in the groove of life and I'm thankful for that fresh new start!!
3. Isn't it crazy how you can become so comfortable with someone you start doing what is habit without noticing...even if it can be a little embarrassing??
1. I have this show, Wildfire, that I started watching last year about this time when a marathon was on the Family Channel followed by the season premier. Well, it's back. Today was an all day marathon followed by the season premier. I'm so excited!! One of the reasons I love this show is because it was filmed here in New Mexico just about 10 miles north from where I live. It's fun to see Albuquerque on the TV.
2. With the hustle and bustle of Jeremy getting back in town and New Year's, we haven't had much time for cuddle time. Tonight we were able to find some time for that again and it was a fun night of learning new things and of course Grey's Anatomy.
3. I often find comfort in the still quiet of the night. Although it's rough sometimes, the late hours I keep, it's nice to just hear nothing.
